• EMC’s U- Guards for use when underground cables are in conduit at the pole.

• First they shroud the conduit riser and couple the Plastic U-Guard riser. 

• Second, they provide a protected air inlet for venting the U-Guard riser. 

• This chimney effecting venting eliminates the necessity for cable re-rating because of elevated temperatures in the riser.
